Hi there! My name is Stephanie Johnson & I'm so happy to be a guest here at Making Memories! My main paper crafting love is card making so I made a card to share using one my favorite collection kits that I've been hoarding for quite some time!
For this card, I wanted to incorporate a paper pieced star burst design- I love this trend! I'm sure there's many ways to make star burst designs, but here's how I made mine:
1. Gather your favorite Making Memories papers (I used 4 patterns on this card)
2. Cut a plain piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the card itself. Using a pencil, make a center point & draw lines radiating across the card. Cut 2 pieces of cardstock from scraps, layer on top of each other, & combine at one end using a brad.
3. Using the new cutting guide you just made, place on to card to measure the sections of your star burst one at a time.
4. Move your cutting guide to the patterned paper, trace with pencil, & cut out your slice out.
5. Adhere all the slices of your star burst in their place. Tip: To adhere my pieces, I used my adhesive runner around all 4 edges & a line in the center.
6. Trim the excess using a paper cutter & adhere to the main card. Embellish & enjoy!
