Do you find yourself more attracted to a deep rosy orange, and you don't know what's gotten in to you? If so, you can consider yourself having caught the fashion waves of this summer. It is funny how I see myself getting caught up in this trend without even knowing it. I start becoming more attracted to a color for some unknown reason and I start wearing it, and buying it, and then I soon find out it's the new color that's coming into Vogue and is hippest color of the year. Remember, it's my job to catch the wave before you guys and so I find myself gravitating toward the types of things I'm telling you before they are out there. This year the color deep rose finds itself in many shades and starts muting out and deepening for fall.
But let's talk about summer. What are you going to be seeing in trend for this summer?
Well there's a bunch of different ways the styling goes. There's beads, beads, beads in combinations that are bulkier than you have seen before. Scale on these beads are baubly, flat, bigger and they sit at all lengths. If they are indeed bigger they are better at a shorter length and are wonderful hits of color against those tan bodies of summer. Those bright saturated colors sing.
Then there's also chains, chains, chains in combinations long, either with charms or not. More is more!!! The idea of layering has almost never been bigger. Layer your chains at all different lengths, with your pearls, with your stones. Find interesting combos of mixed metals and you will find yourself right in style.
The charm long necklace down to below your breast line is a must! If you are the simpler type, then wear them alone or the more maximal type wear them layered. You can't miss on this trend.
You can also mess them up; long chains with mixed metal colors of silver and gold, add materials like feathers, semi precious rutilated stone, a lot of pearls, some metal charms, wicker, fabric and you might be seen splashing the pages of fashion.
And, don't forget for earrings, bigger is better. Large teardrops are found solo in thin wire or coupled with stones somehow intermingled. The big earrings have lightness to them with touches of lace and thin wire.
And my, my, my if you don't remember to layer your bracelet too, I'd like to remind you, more is better here too. Grownups are taking after the kids who are layering rubber bands of color, leather, and fabric, and many different materials but we do it a little more sophisticated. Pearls strands, leather and of course the cuff or bracelet.
So you don't want color!!!!! Remember the layering thing? Make it as messy as you wish for casualness and you will not be left out of the fashion scene.
