Today, we are excited to hear from our favorite designer, Jill Schwartz. As most of you know, Jill is the designer of Making Memories' Vintage Groove Jewelry Collection. Read below to see some of her "Favorite Things."

I can't help thinking of the song which in writing this, keeps running through my head. I am also thinking about my blog 2 weeks ago which speaks of my inspiration and I must admit most of my favorite things also hold the inspiration card for me.
I've decided instead of repeating things from that blog, that I should take you with me to some places that I love. The outdoors has to rate as one of my favorite things. No matter the season (except I guess our mud season) I adore the beauty that nature provides. It inspires and at the same time brings peace and tranquility and allows me to take a deep breath....... and pause the crazy pressures of the many looming deadlines I face in my life.
My tree house has to rate as one of my favorite places.
I love the juxtaposition of being high up in the trees. Kind of like a bird (anyone who knows me knows that birds are like angels to me) and looking out at the green that surrounds. I joke about taking a 5 minute vacation here. The tree house is located in the woods right behind my house. We built it with mostly re-purposed materials and wow it affords me such pleasure. See for yourself. There is nothing like sitting in this cozy, sweet place and looking out at the greenery......and when i can't climb up in my tree house because there's snow on the ground I take to cross country skiing. Going inward to the woods where the snowy landscape usually remains untouched by the on goings of daily life. Here the world feels quiet, and blanketed with beauty. It touches my soul, plus the exercise is invigorating.
Sculpture parks fascinate me. I love how man and nature collide and play-off each other. Whether in Paris, Minneapolis, Seattle, NYC, Ghent, or just about anywhere in the world parks and the arts that live there always capture my attention and draws me in.

So I guess you would not be surprised that I have found a way to shop and be in nature.
Brimfield, an antique market that stretches for acres and acres in western Massachusetts is that wonderful place for me. How can one beat being outdoors and shopping at the same time? The market is a blast and I can be outside all day long to boot.
I cannot end without speaking of the 2 loves in my life: my children Cooper, 14, and Wyatt, 18. They are a joy to watch as they grow. They have taught me much about life and I love to watch them become beautiful young men. They are my favorite creations.

Thanks Jill!
