Hello MM friends! Today, I’d like to show you how to make this dimensional flower and gated mini album – out of patterned paper.
To make the flower, I first punched eight 1.5” circles. I accordion folded an edge of seven of the circles and hot glued the fold down on each. Then I glued these “petals” to the last circle, which I folded into quarters and opened to find the center. Once all 8 petals were glued on, I embellished using flowers from the Making Memories’ Je t'Adore Collection.
To make the gated mini album, I cut 10 blocks of Je t'Adore patterned paper, each 6”H x 9”W. Eight of the blocks were folded in half. I also punched a half circle into one of the folded papers, which I used as a pocket page.
Using a fast-drying liquid glue, I adhered one folded bock to the right side of an unfolded block; adhering underneath it. I did the same on the left side. Once I had a good start on my gated album, I flipped to the back and adhered the remaining unfolded block to the back to reinforce it.
To create the pages on the right side of the book, I glued three more folded blocks back-to-back. Then I “binded” the right side by gluing a folded 6”H x 3”W block to the edge.
For the left side of the album, I did the same as described above, but for one of the pages, I made it a pocket page. To do that, I took the folded block with the punched half circle and glued just the side edges and bottom to the album. Then I finished the album by cutting a tag and embellishing with pretty accents, all from the Je t'Adore Collection.
