Today we have a fabulous guest designer, Sue Mylde, sharing her talents with us. She has created two fun layouts using some of the papers from Making Memories’ Paper Reverie Collection.
Thanks Sue!
Today I'd like to share a couple layouts using some papers from the Making Memories' Paper Reverie collection. The first layout is about my lovely daughter, and for this one, I wanted to add some paint work and masks.
First, I fussy-cut circles from one of the patterned papers and used them as masks on my light pink cardstock, and painted with grey paint.
I then used a few punched out paper butterflies as masks, and painted these over with pink paint, leaving behind a pretty outline on the cardstock.
Before adhering any of the paper embellishments, I touched the page up with some white paint splatters which add not just a splash of contrasting color but also a bit of grunge texture to the layout. I then finished my page up with papers, buttons, and butterfly punch outs.
My second layout is a clean lines layout that I created to tell a story recording some similarities and differences between my two children. Instead of hand-journaling, I typed and printed out these journaling strips and laid them out on the page. Using the two different alpha types give the page a visual texture and draws the reader to the text.
Thank you for letting me share my two layouts with you. Happy Scrapping!

A little bit more about me:
I live in Aberdeen, Scotland with my husband and two children, Lara (6) and Luc (5 months). Life is never boring in our house and I feel privileged to be able to record our family's many adventures from travelling to milestones to tooth fairy visitations. I love that our family has lived in so many different countries because it enriches our lives so much to get to know new cultures and of course, make new friends. I love to use my scrapbooking pages to tell so many heartfelt and meaningful stories. I have been honored to have been published in a number of scrapbooking magazines including Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbook Trends. I feel so blessed to be a part of many design teams including Cocoa Daisy Kits (http://www.cocoadaisy.com/), What is Your Favorite Thing, Stuck Sketches and Sarah Hurley Designs. I have also guest designed for Pink Paislee, Bella Blvd and am humbled to be asked to design for Making Memories. One of my favorite aspects of scrapbooking is making friends through this fun hobby. I would love to get to know you better so please drop by my blog at: http://justperspective.blogspot.com.
