Diane Iverson is Making Memories’ Guest Designer for the day. Diane explains how she created this beautiful Valentines book.
10 Reasons I love You Book.
I came across the heart charm (from Making Memories), at my local scrapbook store and thought it would be the perfect starting point and theme for my Valentine book.
I began by using an old children’s board book that my kids have long since forgotten. I sanded down the glossy finish with a sanding block and then covered it with Making Memories’ Je t’Adore coordinating paper and decoupage. I sanded the edges with sandpaper and distressed them with various brown inks. The photos were sanded around the edges with a nail file on the edge of my craft table, inked and then mounted on coordinating cardstock. The wording was printed from my computer on pink cardstock. I cut the phrases into strips and inked them as well. I used my Slice and Fonts: Essentials design card to cut out the numbers 1-10 and used Making Memories’ Je t’Adore stickers, ribbon and brads to finish off this project and to create the “love” banner.
My husband and I have an ongoing joke about why I love him. He will ask me and I will simply reply, “I don’t know why, I just do”. We usually giggle and go about our day, so I decided that this project would be the perfect way to tell him at least “10” reasons, why I love him. Now I can just tell him….”look it up in the book!”
Thank you Diane for sharing this beautiful project with us.
