Today we are excited to
have Shemaine Smith as Making
Memories’ guest designer. Shemaine created this frame using her Slice. She describes how she created it below.
I really enjoy saving the negative images from my Slice projects to create other projects. Here's
a home decor project using the Slice and
Glimmer Mist to create negative images from the Vintage
Findings Design Card.
First I chose the butterfly image from Vintage
Findings with the Slice and used heavy
white cardstock.
Then I cut a piece of linen fabric to fit the wood wall hanging.
Next lay the negative image over the fabric and mist heavily with Glimmer Mist.
I chose Dragonfly to coordinate with the Making
Memories Panorama Foil paper. Lift the image and then position it again
over the fabric and mist again. Let it dry. Then stamp your images with Staz On
ink. I used brown.
Cut patterned paper to fit wall hanging and spray adhesive
and rub the paper onto the wood.
Stamp images or nice sentiment onto the fabric and back with white cardstock and layer over the Making Memories patterned paper. Adhere with spray adhesive. Add ribbon and embellish.
Now it's ready to hang on your wall!
