Today Vera Yates is Making Memories' guest designer. She created some projects for you to enjoy.
For this layout, I choose to stick to simple design, which tend to be my style. The paper itself is so fabulous, a little embellishments here and there is enough to create a pleasing design while keeping the photos as the main focus. I decorate the upper left corner of the layout using "paradise" felt sticker and some postage rub-ons. For the title "Pulau Penyu" I used the alphabet rub-ons. Added the journaling using Making Memories Note. For a little detail embellishment, I cut an image from one of the patterned paper and attach it to the bottom right corner of the page. Added a couple turtle die-cuts to complete the page.
Next, I made a travel journal. I love to travel and love to jot down information or vacation memories during my trip. I got the blank journal for $1 at Michaels. This project is pretty quick and easy and will make great gift as well. First, I measure the paper to match the journal size. Then, I scored where each fold should be, wrap the patterned paper around the journal to make sure everything lined up perfectly and adhere. Corner punch the edge of the top flap. To decorate the journal, I cut around selected images from one of the patterned paper (the same paper I cut for the layout). Sometime when I don't have the right stickers or embellishment to use, I look at the patterned paper I do have. You can create your own embellishments simply by cutting the image you like from a patterned paper.
Next, I have 2 cards for you. What I love about the Panorama set is how versatile it is and you can make so many projects out of this 1 set. I still have plenty of left over after I completed these 4 project. And since the paper already gorgeous, you don't have to add much to create fun looking cards.
For
the first card, I simply cut the patterned paper slightly smaller than
the card size and added stitching all around it before I adhere it to
the card. Then, cut the "Stop sign" from the patterned paper and glued
it to the patterned paper. The car is created using Papertrey Ink stamp
& matching die. Quick and easy card.
And I love this second card. I thought it looks really elegant and only
took me 5 minutes to finish. I want the patterned paper to stand out
since it's so pretty. I decided to use this "Irish Blessing" from
Verve Stamp Birthday Blessing set and a ribbon to decorate this card.
First, I added the ribbon and afterward using a pop-dot attached the
sentiments (cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 1).
There you go, 4 quick and easy projects, all made from Making Memories
Panorama set. I could easily go on and have several more cards and
layout made from this one set. I hope you enjoy all the projects. :)
