Today we are happy to have Carla Tarabus as our guest designer. Carla created this layout using the Slice.
Supplies Needed:
1, 12” round sheet of patterned paper; 2 sheets of patterned paper; white cardstock; Slice Machine; Embossing Tips; Design Cards: Animal Crackers, Big Kids, Studio Essentials, and Words and Expressions; 12 large felt flowers and 1 small,
border punch, hot glue gun,
flexible ruler, string, and markers.

1. Have your child color a white sheet
of cardstock with markers. With your supervision have your child cut out title
with Animal
Crackers design card using a 1.5” font size.
2. Use the Studio
Essentials design card to cut out five, 2” tags on blue dotted
paper. Cut a 2” photo corner from the same design card on the same paper.
3. Cut a strip of blue dotted paper to
3”x12”. Place the paper along the left side of the round paper and use your
flexible ruler and pencil to trace the side into a circle shape that will nest
into the background circle. Erase
the pencil line and adhere.

Use the Big
Kids design card to emboss the word “image”, using a 2.5” font
size. Emboss the word three times down a long strip of green paper. Cut to 10”x1”
and adhere with pop dots.

Cut a strip of butterfly paper to
8”x2” and use a lace border punch to the right side. Adhere to the middle of
the page. Place your 4”x6” photo
above this strip and flushed to the left side of the green paper. Adhere the photo corner that was cut in
step two.

String the tags and adhere to the
page. Add the letters to the tags and put the clips on each end. Use glue dots
to adhere them securely.
7.
Die cut “happy” using the butterfly
paper and the “Words
and Expressions design card using a 4” font. Adhere to the background paper
under the tags.

Make 3D felt flowers: Fold a large
felt flower in half and adhere with craft glue or hot glue. Fold 1/3 of the
left side down towards the front and the right side towards the back. Use glue
to secure. Make five red and five pink. Adhere five of the finished petals to a large
pink flower. Adhere five pink petals to a red flower. Adhere a looking glass
sticker to the center of each finished flower. Adhere another one to a plain
medium sized felt flower.
9.
Add a rhinestone stickers to the
left side of the page and use glue dots to adhere your felt flowers.
