Today we have two special guests as our guest jewelry designers - Erin Clarkson and her daughter Daisy. Check out their creations and Erin's how-to.
My favorite thing about the necklaces is how easy it is to combine everything without having to think too hard. All of the difficult work is done for you! I started by creating a necklace. I removed the two clear charms on the necklace because they were each the same size and would work better for matching earrings. I added a single clear charm to replace them, just below the green/pink flower. I used small jump rings to attach the "E" charm to hang over the clear charm. I used hot glue to add a Making Memories paper flower (in pink) to the back of the green and pink flower (just to give it additional color). I added a large stone to the other stones on the strand combo, then I finally attached the two strand combos together.
I used hoop earrings I already had and wrapped them with some thread in a
greenish shade that matched the green on the necklace. Then I used small
brass jump rings to attach the clear charms to each hoop and attached
the small pearls to the bottom of each clear charm the same way. I also
thought it might be cute to add a small pink bow to the ribbon as an
For the earrings, I used:
Small and Large Brass Jump Rings:
Black Oval (I removed the white pearls and just used two of them):
Hoop Earrings (not MM--just pre-existing ones)
Floss/Thread (light green)
This piece was created by Daisy. She also LOVED helping me create jewelry. She took a silver strand and added various pendants and charms. She had a blast.
