Hey everyone. It's Laura Vegas here with a new Designers Challenge for you. One of my favorite products to add to my layouts is ribbon. It adds such a great texture, and you can always find a wide selection to go with any layout. There are so many ways to use it on your designs, and to achieve different looks with it. This week's challenge, is to create a layout using ribbon as a way to secure or attach something to your page.
I used the Making Memories Love Struck collection to make this simple layout that captures a peek inside my scraproom, otherwise known as my "creative escape". I arranged and adhered my papers, photos, and letter stickers together on a piece of cardstock. And then I used the Making Memories Love Struck Trims to "secure" the cardstock to my background paper. The cardstock is obviously adhered using regular adhesive. But the rows of trims, with the stapled ends, give the appearance that they are holding the cardstock piece in place.
So dig out your ribbons and
trims, and give this challenge a try. Make sure and come back if you
participate, and link us up to your take on the challenge. We'd love to
see what you come up with.
