New Year Party Favors

The year 2009 is coming to a close. Can you believe it? If you are planning a party for this weekend, here is a great idea for some party favors.

To create these decorations, follow these instructions.

1. Trim paper and roll it around an empty toilet paper roll, wrap completely around and tape other end down.

2. Trim the ends of paper in thin strips so it looks decorative.

3. Fill with candy, stickers and small toys through open end of roll.

4. Gather and tie up open end of roll

5. Cut a 4 ½” x 6” piece of patterned paper and adhere to center part of roll

6. Decorate party favors with stickers or other embellishments

Company Christmas Party

We had fun at our company Christmas party last week. We had yummy soup, which was perfect for a cold afternoon, and a white elephant gift exchange. Here are some photos from the party.

Slice Jewelry

Have you every tried to use your Slice Cordless Digital Designer to create jewelry? Suzonne – one of Making Memories’ designers – created this jewelry piece as a gift. She used the Slice and the Wedding Design Card. She simply cut multiple flowers, layered them, and attached them with a brad. She then attached the flowers to a beautiful piece of ribbon.

Merry Christmas from Wendy Bretz

This Christmas card was created Making Memories' designer Wendy Bretz.

To create this card, follow these simple instructions:

1. Cut Mistletoe Patterned Paper to 9” x 4 ¼”
2. Print title on white cardstock and adhere to front of card
3. Attach Die-Cut numbers above title
4. Punch circle embellishment out of Dot Icon Patterned Paper and adhere above numbers
5. Using the Slice and Fa La La Card, cut out small Christmas tree and attach over circle
6. To finish, attach star deco pin over tree

Holiday Decor

Jennifer Pebbles - a Making Memories designer - created this beautiful holiday wall hanging.
She used Making Memories' Trees paper from the Mistletoe collection. She covered a painted and covered a canvas green paper. She measured and cut the tree paper to size. Then Jennifer very carefully cut half of the trees with a craft knife. At that point, she adhered the tree paper on top of the canvas. Add alphabet stickers and flowers as desired.

Keisha's Christmas Card

Keisha created this card to send to her loved ones this holiday season. She used Making Memories' Mistletoe Collection.

1. To create this card print the sentiment onto the cardstock (inside and out).

2. Fold 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock in half.

3. Cut pattern paper down to 3" x 8".

4. Cut scallop paper down to 3 1/2" x 8".

5. Glue papers to folder cardstock and add photos.

6. Cut leaves with the Basics 2 design card and numbers from the Studio Essentials design card.
