Have you ever thought about adding family photos to a banner that you can hang in your home? Well Leah did. She created this beautiful travel banner using Making Memories Vintage Finding program. What I love most about this project (besides the beautiful photos) is that each piece is different. You don't have to worry about making sure each piece is the same. It adds variety and makes it so much easier to make. We hope this project inspires you to create a banner for yourself.

 

Glitter Cards

Glitter is fun embellishment that can be added on cards. Who doesn't love to receive a card with a little bling?

To create this card simply use masking tape to section the card into small strips before applying glue and glitter. Attach the label over a scrap of paper that has been glittered and attach it to the front of the card.

To make the Thanks card, apply stickers to card and use masking tape to create a thick boarder around the title. Apply adhesive (make sure to keep the stickers down for that title). Gently peel tape and stickers off when finished.

To create this monogrammed card, glitter the negative side of the chipboard piece. Add the glittered monogram to the front of the card. Use masking tape to create a strip on the side of card and apply glitter.

Everyday Life Page

This simple technique comes from Maggie Holmes. On your next 12" x 12" layout try cutting various circles with a variety of paper. Place the circles on your page as a design element. You can also add extra embellishments on the circles such as buttons, glitter, stickers, or journaling.

Findings Baby Kit

How often do you use scrapbooking kits for your projects? Kits are great for beginners and perfect if you want someone else to compile all the supplies for you. This project was created using Making Memories' Vintage page kit in baby. The first picture shows what you get in the kit and the next image shows a layout created by Laura Vegas.

Simple Card Ideas

This simple Paperie card was created with a few strips of paper and ribbon. This card does not require a lot of scrapbook supplies so it is great for utilizing any scraps that you may have around.

Simply adhere your paper pieces to the front of your card. Then use various pieces of ribbon to create beautiful rosettes.

 

To create this ribbon flower stitch a running stitch along the edge of a strip of ribbon curving upward at each end. Pull to gather as you go. A longer strip will create a double rosette, a shorter strip a single. Pull gathers tight, secure with a few stitches and trim excess. Form into a flower and stitch together, tucking the raw edges to the back.

Scrapbooking Playlist

During our Craft & Hobby Show three-day online event we gave away some huge prizes. More than that, we heard from so many of you and were delighted you were willing to share such great insight.
