I love buttons. Try adding them in unexpected places on your layouts to add a little dimension. Also, try to keep it simple. This will give your layouts more impact and showcase your photos better. Having too much going on is distracting.
Use brads as bullet points for journaling. Also, ribbon is always a great embellishment for a layout. On this layout I used ribbon as a ruffle.
