Page Kit Winner

Wow! I can now officially say that I am armed and ready for the next 10 years, if not more. I loved each and every response; it was no small task trying to pick out only 5 favorites out of all the pearls of wisdom you shared with me!  Thank you, each and every one, for taking the time and sharing your advice, you guys are amazing!!  As hard as it was to narrow it down, I did find a few special gems that really left an impression…so without further ado, here are the winners of the challenge:

I picked Fran because I liked her simple advice to have fun, and that it’s okay that I’m 30 but still haven’t had any kiddos; she reminded me to trust myself and my own direction. Christina offered a great suggestion to keep trying new things, and I like her idea of using your birthday as a day to do something different each year, I especially loved the kayak reference…something I am dying to do!! Emine’s advice was so meaningful, and so accurately reflects how I have been feeling. I do feel like an adult now, and am glad I have learned so much while still being so young with so much left to experience, (Her mom sounds like a very wise womanJ). I really loved Annie’s post…Andy Rooney makes me laugh, I loved the whole thing…the part about not asking what you’re thinking because women over 30 don’t care…that was great!!! Thanks for sharing that with me!  And last but not least, Jen reminded me, and all of us to enjoy the unknown, and not to worry if we don’t have it all figured out…because who does, right?

Page Kit Challenge

Now that I have turned 30, I am starting to really appreciate simplicity. I’ve noticed that over the past few months I have accumulated oodles of supplies that I have to dig through while creating a page. The simple answer to this dilemma? Page Kits! Page Kit’s are perfect when you want to make a few coordinating pages or cards without all the fuss but with all the fun! Even though this page is full of elements and patterns, I still have ribbon, stickers, buttons and plenty of paper left over to use for my next project. Don’t believe me? Well, we’ll let you try for yourself. At the end of this post, we’ll be giving away 5 page kits to a few lucky winners!

To make this page, cut out a few of the flower clusters and strips from your pattern paper. Arrange the items onto the back/white side of one of your papers. Trim ribbon strips with banner edges on one end, and fold the other into a loop to adhere at the top of the frame. Attach all elements with adhesive, including the lace ribbon on the top and bottom edge of the page. Once your paper elements are in place, use your sewing machine to stitch along the edges for decorative purposes and to secure the lace ribbon securely on your page.

To finish, simply adhere your photo and frame to the center of your embellishment cluster, attach a button to the “loop” at the top of the frame and add your alpha stickers and journaling.

This page is a tribute to my 30^th birthday, which I just celebrated on March 14^th. It feels like only yesterday I went out with friends for my 25^th…time sure flies. I mentioned above that we would give away 5 of these great page kits and here’s how to enter: Just leave a comment below with some advice on how to make my 30’s even better than my 20’s!!
