"Valentines is always a favorite holiday of mine to scrapbook! I love the funky pink and red combo and all the dainty and frilly products that go with it.... and it's the one time a year you can get away with scrapbooking a male using pink papers and lace! This year, I decided to do a photo shoot with my husband, just for this special holiday. We are rarely photographed together unless its on vacation or at a family function, so this was a great opportunity to take pictures of just the two of us... being us. I threw a black sheet up on my wall (with thumbtacks) and had a friend take some casual pictures of us in jeans and black shirts. It didn't take long and we ended up with some great photos. I created a layout using the pictures and the card my husband gave me, but I also went a step further and made him a bite size layout that sits on an easel on his desk for Valentines day. I used the new chipboard shapes and actually really love to use them on layouts as an "over sized" impact embellishment (not just home decor projects). It was a fast and easy project but a meaningful gift he cherished. So let's see your favorite Valentines day pictures. Maybe it's with your "true love" or maybe of you and your favorite friends... either way, I can't wait to see what projects you create with them!
