I love valentine! Why? Because I love hearts! Seriously. As long as I can remember I have been doodling and scribbling hearts all over my school case, my homework books and not even mentioning those silly high school love letters. So, when I saw this awesome Valentine paper from Making Memories, I fell in love. And for this challenge I was drawing and painting some hearts again. Jaco (my sexy hubbie of 15 years) and I don’t actually do valentine on valentine. But I will always get a few cards when they come out and then give it to him through out the year! That way we celebrate valentine all year round! With this page, I wanted to love a little on my three girls. Because us girls are more romantically inclined, I thought to ask them to be my valentine as they are the center of my heart
First I drew about 20 small hearts on watercolor paper and colored them with watercolor. Cut them out.
On a piece of heart shaped cardboard, I adhered the picture and painted the background with the Making Memories Scrapbook colors cream (spotlight) paint. I machine stitched the Pink ribbon (also form their valentine collection) around the edges. I added some of the Love Index Tab Combo Stickers and the painted hearts. I then stitched them all in place. Lastly I did the journaling with a Steadtler pigment liner 0.1 and adhered the title “center of my heart” which I painted with the MM Black paint (asphalt) and a thin brush on transparency.
Happy Valentine!
love and a kiss
