I don’t know about you, but I love to take sneak peaks into the design rooms of others. I love to see how they decorate and organize. It’s always very inspiring to me. I also love to how people decorate their homes for different holidays. I’ve asked our designers to share a bit of their homes with the rest of us during this holiday season. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Holiday decorating is so fun! I started a new tradition a few years ago where I collect items of a certain color each year. The first year, I collected all white and silver decorations. The second year I collected blues. I go to the after-Christmas sales and stock up when everything is on clearance! This year I’m going to add a funky green to my collection! As you can see, I don’t really use the traditional Christmas colors…although I do love them.
My second photo is an item that has been in the family for years. It’s a candy jar that my mom made years and years ago. I love it! It’s goofy and sentimental, and something to make the kids smile whenever they come over and reach for a piece of candy.
Enjoy the holiday season!

Our family is pitiful. We still haven't put up any decorations, so I had to go back into old photos to grab something. The first photo is of an advent calendar my mother-in-law made for us about 20 years ago, before we even had kids. Our son John is in the photo. He was three in the photo and will be turning 17 this month . . . a long time tradition for us.
The other photo is a close-up of a few ornaments from our huge collection. Last year I shot photos of all our ornaments so I could make a special album telling the story of each one. I'm hoping to finish putting the album together this Christmas.

This is a picture of our Christmas tree. This is my favorite photo because my entire family gets involved and helps to decorate it.
The second picture is of a special ornament that was given to me this year by some dear friends in Canada. This year, it's my favorite ornament on the tree.
The third picture is of a snow globe that my husband and I received as a Christmas gift when we were first married, almost 13 years ago. We love it because it helps remind us of the reason we celebrate the season. It is by far our families most treasure Christmas decoration.
Since my family if moving soon (the 20th of this month) we are waiting to decorate our house. However this is a photo of my favorite Christmas dinnerware. It’s from the winter berry collection by Pfaltzgraff and I love how it adds a seasonal touch to our holiday get-togethers.
I love vases and have them all around my house so I jumped at the chance to buy a bright red one for the holidays! I filled it with these fun sparkly sequin sprigs to add some whimsy!
I’m all about sparkle and silver so when I saw this tree made out of beads, I had to have it. It is on my picture ledge in my family room and I just set a few ornaments at the base of it to add some color.
I am always so excited to get out the Christmas decorations...I love the twinkle & sparkle of it all. My tree is a mix of blues, greens and golds. When you walk in the door you are greeted by my Santa, angel and Mr Snowman!!! They are surrounded by glittery gold trees. it's too hard for me to chose which would be my favorite, I love them all!!
