In scrapbooking, color always plays a central role for me. After I choose my photo I start to pull out my cardstock and patterned paper and I play with different colors and color schemes. I just love what color does for a layout -- it seems so simple, but the colors we choose really drive the message and mood of each scrapbook page.
Because I am so inspired by color I notice it everywhere around me. I watch and see how it is used on signs and billboards, in magazines, in home decor and especially in fashion. I am always looking for new or unique color schemes and color combinations that you might not expect.
Right now I am loving all shades of purple. Lavender, violet, plum - whatever the name or the hue - it is fresh and inspiring. There are so many different colors you can combine purple with.
I love it with green, aqua blue or even red. Here are a couple of purple things I found that I just love - can't wait to use these color schemes on my next layout!!
