I never get tired of hearing tips from other people in regards to how they organize their scrapbook space. I guess that’s partly because I need all the help I can get! Some of MM’s designers had some tips to share that I wanted to pass along to you. I hope you enjoy!

For my new space in this house, I wanted to pretty much have everything behind closed doors in cabinets and drawers. In my cabinets, I love to find great deals on plastic organizing containers and store all of my products in those. Label the front with a cute sticky tag, stack at least four high, and your good to go whenever you open up the door. I also love to look for small old suitcases, baskets, old jars or containers, crates, and metal boxes to store my scrapbooking treasures in...especially my vintage ribbon and buttons (my favorite!!)
Being organized in my art studio really helps sparks my creativity. I recently bought this apothecary cabinet and I've started to label each drawer with a tag for what is inside. As I'm working on a project, I grab a drawer and am able to quickly get what I need. My ribbons are organized, frames, stickers...everything has its own little spot so I can locate them quickly instead of having to go through a huge box to find what I'm looking for.

The only way I’ve found that I can keep my scrapbook room under control is by periodically getting rid of things. My lss has a garage sale twice a year and I take boxes of product that I can no longer use and sell it there. Anything left over either gets donated, given to Daisy and her friends to create with, or goes into a ‘freebie’ box for anyone who happens to be scrapping with me. Once I’ve cleaned out supplies that I will no longer use, it is easier to organize the things I do have. I tend to sort everything by manufacturer and type. I use a lot of baskets and boxes that I can toss like supplies in. For example, I toss a bunch of flowers in one basket, chipboard in another, and rub-ons will be filed away in a box. As long as it makes sense to me and I know where to find things, I’m good.
A good tip for me has been to REALLY utilize my wall space. Instead of growing out you can grow up! Shelving storage can really maximize and organize your space. I used mesh disk boxes underneath the shelving for all the little things that I need to reach. A white board calendar and wall system helps me keep my assignments organized as well :)
Post your tips for keeping your working area organized (or at least kind of organized – because let’s face it, it’s always a work in progress).
